Regarding the technical stuff, I’m sure you’re already very aware of what to expect, but responsibilities and focus would be upon:

  • Test Development: Utilising your skills in test development for ICT, ICT-FP, JTAG, and FT to uphold quality standards.
  • Designing and Producing Test Equipment: Crafting specialized tools to test products according to customer specifications and AFB requirements.
  • Advanced Testing: Bringing your experience in ICT, JTAG, and FT testing, along with fault finding to the component level.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Offering insightful feedback, data, and reports for monitoring reject trends and initiating corrective actions.
  • Collaborative Communication: Engaging with customers, regulatory bodies, and various AFB departments on product testing matters.
  • Problem-Solving: Assisting in diagnosing product failures and enhance test processes to identify elusive faults.
  • Test Equipment Management: Overseeing the maintenance and organization of test equipment.

You’ll naturally already have extensive experience in test development for ICT, ICT-FP, JTAG, and FT, along with a background in manufacturing and testing in a subcontract environment.

In-depth knowledge of digital and analogue circuits is also key, as is expertise in electronic functional testing and test development.

On offer in return is a basic starting salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, though this is negotiable subject to experience, plus a package that includes a 5% bonus, contributory pension, life assurance and 25 days annual leave, plus statutory bank holidays, along with a lunch-time finish on Fridays.
